Corals in sand
Hi, what kind of corals can be placed in the sand??? I know leathers can't. what can?

I think GSPS they grow like made and stick to anything, you can stick candy canes,frogspawns,hammer corals in sand they have that stick like branch.

Brain corals, plate corals, zoanthids, mushrooms...

Since I use MH lighting, I have my Acan. Lord and my Acan. Echinata on the sand . No problems whatsoever and they been there for a long time.

how bout xenias??? I just picked some up and trying to find areas w/ very little flow.

they have to be attached to something, that can be a small rock, just needs enough weight so they dont blow away in the current. xenia is just a stalk, its gotta be attached to a rock or something. but you can put the rock in the sand. thats true of any coral...

ok well my xenias are attached to a clam shell. Wondering if its ok for a little sand to get blown on them if they right there on the bottom
