Hospital tank?

ok so once we get the all these guys out including the tang with the little trap..... I have 5 fish, one large clown included that is hosting a nem.

1. Do we take the nem on the rock?

2. Hospital tank set up.....30 gal tub from walmart with hangonfilter, no sand, some pvc for hiding, what else?

3. These babies stay in this tub for 4 to 6 weeks without stressing out?

Sorry I have never done this before.

I think you might also need a light. I also think that the water should almost be the same readings as in your display tank, so it wont stress the fish out too much. then you can change the readings little by little. Thats why the process takes so long. Readings as in the salinity. Make sure the other reading are ok as well, the nitrites and ph.

dont hospital, inverts/corals with fish, i tihnk that would be too many fish to hospital in the same tank

Why are you moving everything to the hospital tank in the first place?

Normally corals and inverts are not moved like this as they do not tolerate medications very well (reason for the hospital tank in the first place)

More info please. Did you get ich or something? It sounds like you are planning for something like that. If that is the case, You should have a heater and a powerhead of some sort if you can. I usually prefer the Brute Rubbermaid containers for strength, and their shape. If you have a garbage can type, leave about 6 inches of space so the fish can't jump out. If it's a tub than put egg crate or screen material for the same reason. And again if you are getting ready to run hypo, or dose copper etc. don't place the anem, corals, or any inverts for that matter into the hospital tank.

If your QTing because your fish have ich .. then leave the inverts, live rock etc in the ST. The ich within the ST will naturally die off so long as there are no fish in the ST.

Your 30 gallon tub from Wallmart should work OK as a QT .. you should consider purchasing a heater for your setup. You don't need a dedicated light. If your Qting for ich then I would recommend using hyposalinity - a refractometer will help keep salinity at the correct level.
