wavebox in a glass tank??
Can I use a Wavebox Tunze in a glass tank???
some people told me that the tank could to be in risk and to become broken by the wave efect! is this true?? tha tank is a 77"x 30"x 26" LXHXW and the glass thikness is 12mm. (1/2 inch). what do you think??? thank you |

I think its safe to say that the vast majority of waveboxes are actually on glass tanks.
Ive always been a little concerned about the long term structural effects of that kind of weight moving back and forth- especially if your tank and stand arent perfectly level to start with. That said, Ive never heard of a panel blowing out, so maybe not.

I never like the idea of wavebox in the tank.

I believe Tunze says using a wavebox does lesson the life of a glass tank.
