Microbubbles from Skimmer

I have a Precision Marine skimmer that is hanging on the back of a week old tank. Its a 40 gallon and has only been set up since this morning.

I am having a TON of microbubbles going into the tank. Is this normal until all the air is removed from the skimmer? Or do I need to do something?

Thanks.

New skimmers can produce micro bubbles like that, it might just need to run for a while. It could also be due to something you added to your tank. Water conditioners, some filter pads and frozen foods will make a skimmer foam more than usual.

Give it a week, you are going to have to play with the flow/air mixture untill you get it right.

Good Luck!
