That's WAY too many inverts, imo.

How many lbs of lr do you have? I'd say go with their 55g package. That seems much more realistic to start with. You can always add more if you need it but that 125g package is way more inverts than i have in my 180g with about 250lbs of lr.

Yeah that is what I was thinking there is a lot of stuff in that package. I have 150 lbs of LR.

I'd definitely go with the 55 package then. Like i said, you can always get a few more if you need them but you don't want to deal with the hassle of getting ruid of a bunch of extra snails.

Some people say 1 per gallon but that seems crazy to me. I couldn't imagine having 180 snails and 180 hermits in my tank

I've got zero hermits, about 25-30 turbos, maybe 10 nassarius, about 10 ceriths and 4 conchs and they do a great job.

Another thing I was thinking is that at the start if there is to many won't they starve if there is not enough food. I think that I am going to go with a smaller package any other thoughts on this.

I have one more question is this pricing competitive or should I shop around before I order from here?

Yes, if you have too many, some can and probably will starve from lack of food.

Certainly can't hurt to shop around but the prices don't seem outrageous, seems like a decent deal

At most of my LFS, the snails would be about $1 a piece and the scarlets would be $3 a piece. To get the 55g package at my lfs would cost about $100-110 but my lfs is pretty cheap, especially for snails.

Yeah, I gotta agree; you don't need that many critters crawling around. I have a 120 gal tank with 5 astrea snails, 10 red/blue legged hermits, 4-5 trochus snails, 4 bumblebee snails, 4 cerith snails, 5 nassarius snails, a horseshoe crab, 2 queen conchs, and a sandsifting star. I clean the sides and front of the glass daily, and with the 120 lbs of LR, the critters seem to keep up nicely with the algae growth.

If you want to build your own package, eTropicals (part of the LiveAquaria family) will give you free shipping when you get more than $60 worth of the CUC critters they have to choose from. This is the link: http://www.etropicals.com/product/sc...45&pCatId=1805

That way, you can choose the snails/crabs/shrimp that you really want.

I've heard this too, but think that 1 for every 3-4 gallons is more reasonable.
