Tank maintenance question

How does everyone clean the coralline algae out of their overflows. I've been using a paring knife to chip and scrape it out every couple of weeks but there must be an easier way.

Here is a pic, I just spent the morning chipping it all out

Just for the record this is done every couple of weeks and it is actually easier if it is a bit thicker because then I can get underneath and pry bigger chips off.
So a paring knife is the best way to go?

I do have an urchin but I think I need a dozen or two to keep up with the growth

Have I ever mentioned I hate coralline algae
