Black/Purplish Algae?? Id please
I found this blackish purplish algae on some of my rocks yesterday. It looks slimy and I don't like it or know what it is. Any help is greatly appreciated. Should I leave it alone or is there something I can do to get rid of it?

it's soft. I'm pretty sure that it's not coraline

I have black and purple sponges in my tank, i have heard the black ones are rare, and possibly toxic if they die? (Read in a post a while back not sure if its true.)
