ph problem

My reefkeeper 2 says my ph is 8.1. My sera test says about 9. probe was calibrated 2 days ago. Alk is also high, around 15. Everything else is good. Am, trites, trates, phos all at zero.

What do I trust?

Also lost my flame angel today. Don't want to loose any more.

If the test is showing high do a 25% water change to put the levels back. Have you been dosing with a PH buffer supplement?

Bring a water sample into your LFS for them to test to confirm?

If you use RO/DI water, test that and if your tests read anything other than 6.9-7.1 your tests are probably off. Nine is very high and I'd expect a fair amount of loss if it is actually that high.

I would trust the meter, in this case, but another opinion might be useful.

OK, I rinsed off the probe and stuck it in a bag of pinpoint 7.0 calibration solution. It read 7.02. I retested am, trite, and trate with my old IO tests everything is zero. Don't have an alk test other than the sera wich I can't really trust at this point. I'll go pick up some salifert tests tomorrow. Anyone want to buy a slightly used Sera test kit?
