Reeflux 10k or 12k??

I am going to put 2 400 watt Reeflux bulbs on my new 90. I have a 250 watt 12k bulb right now over a 24 gal. and I really like the Blue it gives off. Should igo with the 10K or 12K on my 90. Are the 10k's as blue as the 12ks??

The 10k's had almost no blue on my electronic ballasts. The 12k's have a touch of blue but not nearly as blue as my phoenix 14k's.

I have the 12k's and love them. IMO 2 400watts are a little much for a 90 gal. Save so money and use two 250 watts.

I run a pair of 400s on my 90 and have used both 10K and 12K Reeflux. I like the 12K better in which I am currently using. The 10K kinda have a pinkish color to it. The par on each lamp is actually almost the same too.

No chiller. Just fans in the canopy. It does get up to 82 degrees which some thinks is high. Doesnt seem to affect my tank though.

Are you saying that PAR on the 10k reeflux and the 12k reeflux are almost the same? The 10k is nearly double the PAR of the 12k. The 250w 10k on reef finatic electronic ballast has a PPFD of 94, the 250w 12k on reef finatic electronic ballast has a PPFD of 52.

Those are readings for 250s. I was talking about the 400s. I even confirmed it with a par meter I borrowed from my reef club.

Even on Sanjays site confirms it almost has the same output. On a Coralvue electronic ballast, the 400W 10K PPFD is 127 and 12K is 125.
