Float Valves???

How many of you use a float valve system to keep your sump water level steady? Any recommendations?
Any potential problems with flooding out my floor?

Ive recently installed a new sump to fit my new AquaC EV180, but the height of the sump is now lower, 14" ( I have to keep adding water like twice a week). The new sump has baffles which keep the H20 at a constant level on the supply side, as opposed to my old design which would have the same water level through the entire container.

I used to use one from autotopoff.com that worked well. I've since switched to a peristaltic pump without a float switch though, which I prefer over on-demand top-off.

They are fine, just wire in another failsafe float an inch above the first one. If the first one gets stuck, the 2nd one will hopefully work and open the circuit. I have since too switched to a auto pump(Spectrapure LiterMeter)
