chemiclean help

I used chemiclean to get rid of some red slime algae and I am not able to use my skimmer now. I did a 30% water change AND waited a week and the skimmer still goes nuts and just skims plain water. THe bubbles just come up way too fast and nothing is bering skimmed out of the water. Anyone know what I should do?

One 30% water change in the first week is not enough. You have to keep doing consecutive large water changes. It took me almost three weeks before the skimmer working normally.

Yep more water changes, and run it as dry as it will let you set it if you can.
