Please ID this crab

This crab has hitchhiked in on something, and evidently by his size he has been here a while. It is probably a good 3 inches maybe bigger.

Here only good pic I could get.

Is this a bad crab, and will it jack with my SPS or anything else???

Not exactly sure, but it looks like an emerald crab

i've had one of those in my tank. if you can get it out, all the better. it's not an emerald crab, but i can't say exactly what it is either. i saw mine about three months ago, but haven't spotted him since. no problems yet.

Kind of hard to tell by the pic but if it looks like this one:

Then it is probably a gorilla crab and is best to remove if you can.

I had a few come in with my TBS rock. I removed as many as I could and I still see a few small ones now and then. IME they are easier to catch as they get larger. I just put them in the fuge.

HTH

Looks like some sort of a Xanthid. Opportunistic feeder.
