Question ID Help Please

I just say these two guys, and pulled them out to get a pic and ID. The mush have hiched a ride with some roch a couple of months ago. They are hard like a snail on the light spots. Any ideas?

Are you sure that's a stomatella? That's kind of what I thought when I first saw it, but the foot (I think that's the term) on all the stomatella's I've seen aren't that symmetrical around the shell. It mainly extends behind the body. Otherwise, I do agree it looks like a stomatella. All of mine are more of an off-white color, but I have seen a black one once before.

They look like Keyhole limpets to me. As far as I know, they are harmless algae grazers.

They're Scutus, a type of limpet. They're mostly reef safe, but on a rare occasion they've been known to take a nibble on some corals, though the damage usually isn't major.
