ro/di water

How long can you hold RO/DI water in sealed containers and how long for RO/DI saltwater, does it go bad? stale?

I have a 55gal Ro/DI holding tank and I used maybe 10-20gals a week. Everything all good with that. SW I have had NSW in a 60gal drum for a month before using it. Only added a air line to keep movement but the water was fine

can you just add a powerhead for a while before adding the water to the tank to oxygenate it or need to do constantly?
