Shady LFS

I am like 99% sure that one of the LFS in my town has been buying livestock from petco and selling it in their store. While thats no illegal (that i know of) its pretty shady to me. Especially since I saw one of these items and it had been marked up to 3x the price it was at petco. I believe maybe this is done to prevent the larger chain from driving down their prices but that LFS has been screwing people over for years its kinda all coming to a head. Has anyone else experienced this type of thing. I may be the only one whos noticed this but i live in a small town so maybe its just me.

i highly doubt it, your LFS can buy wholesale allot cheaper then he can run down to Petco and buy fish.

yeah and why would your LFS buy from a competitor keeping them in buisness

there was a time when M&M Mars #1 customer was Hersey, they'd buy them out as soon as they hit stores to keep Hersey products the only ones available to the public, but again not likely with a little LFS and a big chain retailer
