Where Can I Buy Stomatella Snails?

Has anyone seen a place that sells Stomatella snails, either online or in the pacific northwest somewhere? I have one that hitchhiked into my 75G and I'd really like to get some for my new 155G. Thanks!

There going to be hitchikers, I've never seem em for sale anywhere. Look up a local fish club in your area, talk to a few fellow reefers there and ask someone to donate a few to your cause. It's how i got ol' blue here.

One of the local club guys offered us a few since his population was growing fast in the fuge. When I met him I asked him to identify somethign I found a few days earlier and finally caught. It turned out to be one of the stomas! I felt silly, but now I have a few and can look forward to them breeding.

InlandAquatics.com sells them. I suspect there are other sources, as well.

These guys reproduce like there's no tomorrow. I initially saw one and in a few weeks, there were plenty in my tank and sump. Thank goodness my yellow wrasse acquired a taste for the small ones. Saw him smashing them against the rocks and swallowing them whole. I still have plenty. They are more active at night.

Save your money. They are cool critters, no doubt, but do you "really" need them? It sounds like more of a pet than anything else IMO.

+1, don't waste money on buying them. Chances are really good you have them in your tank already and they're just not breeding yet, otherwise you can get them most likely free from literally any reefer you know or from any LFS that has a live rock section.

You don't know anyone in your area with a reef tank? Have you checked the reef club forums on here? Good place to find cool people

They're awesome! I love mine, their tiny low profile shell allows them to get into places others in your CUC can't and theyre too small to knock much over...excellent addition to a reef (IMO)
