How to remove scratches from glass?

I have a scratch on the outside pane. Is there a way to remove this scratch?

Ah the glass vs acrylic debate. Acrylic will get scratched, but you can buff it out. Glass is very unlikely to get scratched, but if it does your kinda sol. There are "polishes" you can buy to fill in the scratch, depending how bad it is. It won't be perfect but it will be better.

Jewellers rouge will polish marks out of glass as long as its not tempered.. It depends how deep it is. It may need to be sanded with diamond grit paper first.... Not really a diy unless you have polishing experience / orbital polisher.

you could try the kits they sell to fix cracks in windshields... I had a rock chip with webbing about the size of a dime and also one crack that extended about 1/2 inch from that... after the kit it was only noticeable when you looked for it... worth a try as long as it is on the outside

I just checked out Kragen's website. They recommend trying some toothpaste on a rag for minor scratches. Any thoughts on that?
