is this bad?

While cleaning the front of our tank, this snail or bug fell down. We scooped it out of the water. We have no idea what it is. When it was falling, it looked like it had a yellow ring around it. We took pics front and back. the back has no shell and the front looks like it has some kind of mouth.

any advise????
