What's with my Leather?

Does anyone know what is wrong with my green umbrella leather? It opens up fine and has been growing very well (it's about 2x the size it was about 4 months ago). The white spot on it, there is also another smaller area similar that is hidden, has slowly grown over the last couple months. It's almost like a chunk out of it. There are no polyps that extend from this area either.

It almost looks like a chemical burn. You haven't added dry salt to the tank or knocked off any salt creep have you? What about adding chemicals?

No. The only chemicals added are Randy's 2-part, but they get added into the fuge and disperse into the display at a slow rate.

My leather gets spots like this occasionally, epecially if any detritus settles on it. When it sheds, the white spots go away. Does the white spot stay the same even after shedding?

I made sure my leather gets lots of random flow and it seems to help.

they do do better with enough flow to make them move a little. don't know what the white spot is... is it discolored at all? or all white?
