What should I feed my coral?

I have green star polyp, frogspawn, favia brain, trumpet coral, a maxima clam, and I plan to stop the rest with SPS. I would consider this a light stock right now, but I plan to eventually have a heavy stock of coral. I dose with seachem complete, carbonate, and trace elements twice per week, and do a weekly change using reef crystals. I feed my fish prime reef, formula one, brine shrimp and mysis shrimp frozen every day. I have a 46 gallon tank, but I would like to know what to feed the coral. I do have a lot of copepods stemming from my fuge, and the LPS sold me on reef nutrition phyto-feast and roti-feast. But I am unsure on dosing. Bottle says 2.5 teaspoons for 100 gallons everyday. Seems like a lot for a light stocked tank? Also how is DT's phyplanton in comparison? Is there anything else I should feed the coral and clam?

I feed DT's phytoplanton daily. About an ounce for my mixed reef tank.

you should feed the LPS something like mysis or small pieces of meaty foods when their tentacles are out. This is usually at night. The only two corals on your list that stand out as needing to be target fed are the favia and trumet coral. The phyto and rotifers would be aimed more towards the needs of the clam as it will see the primary benefits of those foods. The GSP will filter out some but they are primarily photosynthetic.

Forgot to mention that this is what I feed my fishes and the excess is picked up by the reef inhabitants. Great food and everything goes nuts in my tank when I put this in.

When feeding brain coral and trumpet coral, do you have to feed each individual polyp. My trumpet only has 6, but the brain has 50-60.

Phytoplankton isn't coral food! An overwhelming majority of corals will get no direct benefit from the addition of phytoplankton.

I know I will probably start a offtopic discussion, but i feed my corals rotifiers, cyclopeeze, and amino acids... I simply put them all in a plastic cup and let them defrost and mix... Then I suck some up and shoot it at every coral... It is there choice at that point to eat...

I don't target feed any LPS, that stuff grows fast enough as it is.

It was cool to watch my trumpet latch onto a piece of mysis shrimp and them swallow it. Even right now he looks like a fat man sitting on a couch, but yet his tenticles are still waving. Go figure.
