Battery Backup
OK, so we had some bad storms last week and the power went out for about an hour. No biggie but an hour felt like an eternity when I was staring at my tank at midnight. So that got me thinking about a backup system. I do have a generator but that's for a real emergency. Ideally I would like to keep my return pump going but it's a Sequence Wahoo and draws 265 watts. So then I thought about just keeping the Tunze Streams going to maintain tank circulation. They draw only 38 watts between the 2 of them. What kind of battery backup would I need to keep them running for say 6 hours or so. I have seen backupswith ratings of 350VA and 875VA but don't know whatthis means. Is there a formula to figure out out how long a 350VA battery backup will run 38 watts of power?
