It is for most purposes but a bit low for SPS or something like a clams that require much more output to be at home in your tank.

Clams are just nice to look at. What do you want to keep under that light?

I have 4 T5's on my 75...I am over-driving my T5's with an IceCap 660 and SLR reflectors. I have a good variety of SPS; and I'm getting nice color and good growth. All my SPS are positioned from mid-tank to the bottom. Anything higher than mid-tank and my SPS just bleaches out. Make sure you keep the reflectors clean and the bulbs cool for maximum efficiency. I use two 4" digital IceCap fans which increase/decrease in speed if the water temp changes. The fans are great and keep my tank between 78 - 79 degrees

T5's should be excellent. If you go with a premium fixture or retrofit from the start you will be much happier. I like my Aquactinics TX5 with five bulbs. It can do well for about any coral selection.
