new tank

i have a new tank that has been up and running for maybe a week and a half and it is only a 37 gallon and i have about 12 pound of live rock and 12 pounds of base rock and the ammonia only went up to .25 and it went back down to zero, do you think i could put my yellow tail damsel in there by now from my 20 gallon just to get a fish in???

I would wait, after the ammonia spike you'll see the nitrite then the nitrate spike, give it a few more weeks you'll be better off in the long run not rushing things...

I agree with michaeljames wait till those nitrites and nitrates zero out. I would give it about a month or so before you put fish in there.
