question about broken sump

im moving and i broke the bottom of my sump the glass is 6mm thick and i was thinking on replacing the glass
i have a 3mm thick in the garage will this work or i was thinking on cutting to peaces and silicone them together any advice will be apprecciated the sump measures are 30 l 12 w and 18 t
