Snail sucking another snail.

This unknown snail was on top of my turbo snail. The turbo snail was facing upside down. I had to split it up. What was the unknown snail trying to do? Kill it?

Also, one of my hard coral branch is turning brown. Is it the algae? How can i clean it? My parameter is good. comments please.

The unknown snail might have been looking for dinner. Got a picture?

A picture might help with the coral, too. Is this a living coral?

As far as the coral. Is this "algae" kinda transparent with bubbles? If so its a diatom try to blow it off gently with a turkey baster, then increase the flow in your tank a little to try and keep it from collecting again

Certain snails are cannibalistic. Do you have a pic.

pyramid snails are parasitic to other snails. Do a google search on identifying them, but the easiest way to tell is that the top/peak of their shell, rather than going in a continuous swirl, goes perpendicular to the swirl below it. Hard to explain...would help to see a picture.

I will upload pic tom. He's hiding now. He's very pointy and has rough surface. Shape like a cone. I actually found him when i bought a live rock from LFS. He's turning black though.... think he hasnt been eating.... not sure. Got him for over 6 weeks now.

As for as the branch. i brushed it off with a toothbrush. Much better now.

I'd suggest whelk also. I had one drill a hole through the top of my largest turbo a couple years back. I didn't realize what it was until it was too late and the turbo was dead. Needless to say... the whelk shell is now a hermit crab shell

Remove one animal or the other... I'd put the predator into a glass of saltwater, and then into the freezer.

If you have a sump, put the predatory snail in there.

The snail in the pic is definitely a predator, so it's not eating algae off the other's shell.
