Noisy Mag3 pump

I have a remora pro with the mag 3 pump. Right now its really noisy, it has this annoying humming-like sound similar to an old airpump. I cleaned the skimmer completely and check the impeller and shaft and they look fine. its not as noisy when the pump is running when its not attached the skimmer.

When i unplugged the pump and plug it back in, it wont restart. If i seperate the pump from the skimmer it'll start working again sometimes.

Any suggestions on what i should do? its driving me nuts.

how do you know if the shaft was bad? i mean both ends were still intact with the rubber parts. does it bend or warp over time?

May be the problem is not the shaft the problem may be the inner part of the impeller/propel. What some times happens is that the impeller just ware out.
