qustions about T5s
I dont know much about them. Would 2x 24w T5s and 2x 40w PCs sustain SPS corals in my 10 gallon tank? I already have the PC hood, and im lookin to get a little more juice without buying metal halides. Its not that im cheap, but i need to save all the money i can for my 40g, which will have MHs and such. But maybe I wont even need them, depending on how good T5s are.
Please answer my question honestly and post anything you think I should know about T5 lighting. |

T5's rock lol The thing is you'll want reflectors for each bulb which gives you way more "juice" And i believe you can probably get away with 2 24w bulbs. 4 would be the best but I'd ask grim (He has a Q&A thread here.) I know someone who just has 2 54w T5's over a 75g SPS frag tank. Just because they are all he needed. Right bulbs+brand=healthy corals

Well they aren't so much bad (people have kept SPS under PC's) but they just aren't as good. PC's don't bring down the effect of t5's you can use the PC's for better color and stuff. I was just saying you could get away with out wasting money on PC bulbs.
