excess heat in tank
My tank was at 83.6 F when I got home from school today. I pulled out my MJ600 and the inlet was partially clogged with debris. Could this cause excess heat in the tank?

Possibly...but 83.6 ain't bad. Keep an eye on it if that temp reading is very unusual. Sometimes a heater gets stuck...if so, the temp may keep climbing.

I just put the powerhead back in the tank after a good cleaning, and it is a MJ900 instead of 600.
My temp normally runs 78.5. I am able (normally) to maintain this temp 24 hours every day. The tank is a modified Aquapod 24.
