Very sad story
I had a real bad bloom of flatworms, so I medicated the tank.
It kills all the flatworms, copepods, little starfish, bristle worms and all of my fish. (CBB, Lemon peel, PBT, LMB, firefish). Corals are fine. I believe that the toxin that the worms expels when they die killed everything else. I follow the instruction to the perfection, but maybe it was too many worms=too many toxins. ( I had like a million) I am very very sad.

a guy locally had a 500gal tank that had flatworms
dont know all the particulars but after treatment the entire tank crashed and had a layer of fw on the bottom - lost all corals etc - hate to see something like this happen to anyone! had (have?) majanos and well it sort of feels the same way! also got fw awhile back and never treated the tank - i dont see a single one in the main 125display (perhaps) thanks to the mandarin that sits in there (i presume)... but i do see a few in the fuge which if the population continues to grow then i will have to treat! regards |

Sorry for your loss. With all the stories of tanks crashing or major catastrophes, that stuff should be taken off the market. A sixline wrasse got rid of my flatworms. Haven't seen one in well over a year.
