will inverts transport flatworms from tank to tank?
i keep a mantis shrimp in a small tank with some frags. i'm going to changing out the frag tank and will be dipping the frags for flatworms..
my question is.. if i don't dip the mantis and other snails will the flatworms be transfered to the new tank via them.... should i dip the mantis and snails also? i don't want to kill "Igor" i've had him for 2 years but i don't want him to unknowingly carry some flatworms into the new tank... thanks, lisa

Cant comment on the shrimp but I have seen them stay attached on snails. A friend even introduced them into his tank on an order of turbo,s.
I have treated snails but just a drop or so, in their acclimation tub or bag. They do seem to be sensitive to "exit" if to much is added. When I treated my tank a few years ago, it never bothered my cleaner or peppermint shrimps but followed the instructions closely.

the snails will get a good dipping... i think i'll drift over to the Mantis Forum and see if they have any thoughts on mantis sensitivity to Flatworm Exit... ![]()
