Light penetration

Im going to be starting my new tank soon and Im wondering what halide wattage to get. Softies and LPS only with a depth of 34", would a 250 watter be alright at that depth or would I need 400 watters?

Speaking from experience with an eighteen inch tank and using a 250 watt halide, I'd recommend going for 400 watt lamps at that depth.
