I dont think that most people realize that lime is the english word for Kalk (which is German for Lime)! Maybe you should rephrase that!

1 is fine to start. 2 is fully saturated. It all depends what your systems uptake is, as well as how much evaporation you have in order to determine the proper amount required. You will have to experiment and check your ALK and Calcium daily for awhile until you determine the tanks needs.
