Cant get new naso tang to eat
Got a new small naso tang i belive friday, and i cant get him to eat much at all. I tried flakes, sea weed sheets on a clip, live brine shrimp, forzen mysis. doesnt seem to take anything, and hes getting alil thin. His color is starting to get a bit brighter though and he is a bit more active. any sugestions? is this normal? any input would be appreciated, or experience with this kind of situation.

It may take a few days for it to get comfortable enough to eat. Try some Nori, If that doesn't work try soaking it in garlic.

Soak some nori in RO water and a little 100% garlic paste. It brought my naso around in no time Mine went 9 days before he ate. Then he would only take the garlic nori for about 1-2 weeks and then he started eating anything I put in the tank
And that is him in my avatar, going strong 4 years later

Try attaching a piece of seaweed to a rock and sink it. you could probably use a rubber band. Some fish need to be taught to eat off the clip.

Ok ill try to attach the sea weed to a rock. So when im looking for nori is that the brand? Also the garlic paste is that from the LFS or is that just a normal garlic past efrom the gorcery store. Ive tried the typical grocery store garlic paste and i think it seems to be a bit to concntrated for the fishes liking.

When they are small I use the seaweed selects. That can get pricey when they get larger so you can get nori from an Asian market, but make sure it has no additives.
They also sell the garlic at most lfs.

Nori is just the cheap alternative to the stuff in the fishstore. You can buy it in the ethnic food section at the grocery store and it's like $3.99 for three times what you get in the LFS Make sure you don't get the fun flavored brand
