The best skimmer for a 375g

Hi guys, I am looking for the best skimmer for a 375 gallon, my sump is a 120 gallon, so i guess what im asking is for about a 500 gallon system. I have a brand new ASM 4x skimmer that was givin to me but im afraid it may not due the job. I just want to get a good one instead of the hassle of trying to replace it later. I have seen many different types but dont really know which is really good. Thanks

Tell us more about the tank... does it have alot of fish, are there alot of established corals... how old it the tank? Some very large tanks have very low skimmate outputs.

Go for a BK300 for a high end skimmer. But if you want to save some $$$ and still beat the BK300 go with the Reflo 250.

Another high end skimmer is the ATB but for the size of tank you have which I think would need the ATB Normal size; unfortunately for this model ATB has not finalized yet as to what pump to use.

I was looking at getting the BK just was hearing about it over performing/overskimming? Not sure on how true that is, but i guess it also depends on your load in the tank. I was trying to get some suggestions on ones that people might have had experience with or seen. Or if the BK is the best one?

You will get a majority vote that Bubbleking is the best. It takes a big budget to get one, but the BK300 $2,069 would be the best fit. Along with big budget skimmers is the Euro-Reef RC500 $2,198, Deltec AP902 $1,962, and H&S 250 $1,599. Do take a look at Orca Reeflo 250 $1,249(external installation only), it should be able to handle your setup well. And then there's the ATi Bubblemaster 250 $839 that also a perfect match for your system. All skimmers can easily handle a 400g to 500g heavy bioload system.

The OP wants an internal skimmer, which the Reeflo is not.

ReefGeek still shows the BM250 @ $769. The RC500 is a much larger skimmer than the Deltec902 & H&S250 models. They are supposed to be coming out with an equivalent 10" x 2 pump model soon.

If the OP wants to consider an external instead, the Reeflo looks killer. The new BKs look great too.
