UV Sterilizer 9 Watt Question

Hey Guys,

Purchased a UV Lamp today... Coralife Turbo Twist 9 Watt for my 55 gallon Setup... I'm using a Ehiem 2213 classic filter, which outputs around 100 gallons per hour... I hooked up the UV light inline to the water rerturn so it's post filtration... Is this to fast for Parasite control??? And way to slow it down?? The Ehiem has Valve breaks I can turn....

are you trying to filter algae or parasites as well
