Is this a good Overflow ?

I heard that a u tube design is better than a boxed wall design . so i found these overflow pre skimmers on the internet . looks like custom made stuff . and one of there overflows is only $60 shipped . what do eveyone thing ?

There are several views on this subject, but I will say I agree that a Utube is better then a continuous siphon overflow like CPR. I personally bought a hurricane overflow http://www.hurricanefilters.com/. I know people that have an Eshopps Overflow http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...t=eshopps&Np=1
and also Lifereef is commonly thought of as "the best" but all of this is debatable http://www.lifereef.com/frame.html.

I liked the hurrican overflow too . and just purchase one aswell . Thanks for the advise

I'll also recommend the tube style overflow. I had two Lifereef boxes on my last tank, and they worked great. I'll also recommend Amiracle overflow boxes, too.
