HELP with cucumber

i have a pink spiny cucumber who looks like he is getting "tears" in him with some of his gut very slowly leaking out

water = salt 1.024, ph 8.1, ammonia 0, nitrate, nitrite 0 with about 50lbs of live rock in a 30 gal.

he still moves around, still has his feelers out to eat
but he has linear tears on him (on is about 3/4ths an inch) with the cucumber being 5 inches total.

i have no fish, but have a pom pom 4 hermits (which totally ignore him, have even seen them walk by him, under him) and a emerald crab + 2snails.

i was wondering if it is common for emerald crabs to pick at cucumbers (even though he has left the hermits and snails alone) plus they get fed brine shrimp every other day. i have never seen the crab by him, but.....

i do need some help.
