Help Please - Where to mount 400w ballasts

I have 3 Vue electronic ballasts to mount but I'm unsure of how ventilated I need to be. Location I'm thinking is the corner of a wall, mounted to 2x4 with heat shielding.

What I don't know is if this is ventilated enough. Each ballast has an internal fan and the location appears to be the "best out-of waters location!).

Suggestions?, more ventalation? what have you done?

I had a problem with locating the ballast for my MH fixture, too...I just made a decorative shelf and put it in the corner of the room above the reef. Looks like tech meets antique, but it's all right.

if needed yo could build shelf to the side of your tank to house the ballasts in. The options are only restricted by your brain. Or your wife/gf saying OH NO YOUR NOT PUTTING THOSE THERE!!!!!
How about putting them in an area of the stand where nothing is being used I seen your info states a 180 so thats a pretty good sized stand

LOL, that would certainly take care of it for a while!!!! LOL

I decided to mount them to the stand's inner corner (along the wall). The tanks underside is mostly sump area, the rest are 2 pumps and an oceans motions. The left outer 2x2 square houses a skimmer and skimate collection pale below that. Right side 2x2 is for the reactor and CO2 tank. Above that will likely be kalk dossing or maybe not at first...who knows.

I've decided I will run a fan across the ballasts then the other 3 across the water surface.
