How do ya'll keep your shallow sand bed clean?
Just out of curiosity how do folks keep their ssb clean?
I siphon off some sand with each water change and when it gets thin I add more sand. I have about an inch in my 47 gal.

I use a gravel vac on mine. (( for all 3 of my tanks )) the end of it is wider, so I don't lose much sand at all. Been doing that for many years now it does the trick for me.
Plus I do have nassarius snails.

Watchman goby, tigertail cuke, and two Tunze 6000s. I have some snails too but I'm not convinced they do much.
