Coralline algae

What makes Coralline algae green.
I have alot of green coralline algae growing on my tank panels but purple/pink growing on the rock. My step-daughter and wife's tanks are the same way.

How do I get it a nicer color

It's just a different species of algae. You can try adding some rock with purple coralline algae to get it started/help it spread.
