I'm trying to decide on a new skimmer for my 75g reef to replace my Berlin. I was thinking about purchasing this one Octopus
Is this the best Octopus for a 75g reef? I want a recirculating model, and I dont' want to spend money on a EuroReef. Have there been any problems with this Octopus skimmer? Is it just as efficient as the EuroReef? Will it run in 7" of water? I just wanna make sure I'm not laying down $300+ on a piece of crap. Is this EuroReef better? I know its not the recirculating model, but will it perform better than the Octopus? Euro-Reef RS100 Thanks! ![]()

Go with the Octopus. I have the 150 and I recirced it myself and I couldnt be happier. Its kickin butt on my 200G system. Yes I could prolly go larger, but for a 75, its a great skimmer. Here is a cheaper price for you and its from the company that makes the octopus skimmers.

Marine Solutions does not make the skimmers, they only sell them. Here is the manufacturers website: http://www.proteinskimmer.com.cn/c/cn/index.asp
