Anemone

What does the anemone look like when it dies? Better yet, how to you know when it is dead?

Do you have a pic of what one looks like? Mine doesn't look normal. His tenticles are very skinny and short. They do not look like they are moving. Is there a way to see if he is still alive?

what type of lights do you have?
where is it located in you re tank?
do you feed it?
how was it acclimated?
what do you have in you re tank fish/invert wise and anemone prederator stressing it out?
has it constantly been moving in the tank?
need more info before we can help you out...post a pic.

how old is you re tank...you should wait a minimum of 6 monthes after starting up ideally 1 year before adding an anemone. they need stable tanks and are quite difficult to keep.

Gaping mouth, deflated tentacles, and a weak foot are tell tale signs.
Are you sure its just not going to the bathroom? They look pretty pitiful when they are but they usually perk back up in less then a day. Also a picture would help and knowing what type of anemone you have would be helpfull to.

if you feed it see if it sticks to the food you give it try a pull away slightly its a a good indacator
