Question going from compact to t5 lighting

what would be the best way to acclimate my tank to the new lighting.(4 BULB NOVA )75GAL REEF MOSTLY SOFT CORAL

i used screen from a storm door to acclimate my clams, i'm having a brain fart trying to remember what it's called. you can buy a roll at any hardware store. cut it into whatever size sections you want, lay them on top of each other on the top of the tank, i used about 5 layers. then remove one daily or every other day.

You can also use lighting grids from Lowes or Home Depot
