Who owns a Discordipinna griessingeri- Flaming Prawn Goby?

Anyone own one of these? Have any experience with one of these?

I was looking at these and am seriously considering ordering one for my 16g bf.

I currently have a pair of false percs in there that are about 5-6years old so I'm guessing I'd have to take them out and put them in another tank. I also have a smallish coral banded shrimp in there that I wonder about. Can I add the little goby with the coral banded shrimp or should I take him out too?

Any advise?

I have a coral banded shrimp with a Hi-Fin Goby and no problem, but it is a 225 Gallon as well.

They are such a small bioload that I think you will get away with it. No need to move other livestock (though CBS can attack + kill small fish)

Yeah, I'm not really worried about the bio-load. I'm just worried about something killing the little guy. I think they ship at only about 1/2 inch and only grow to 1 inch. I'd hate to buy a $130 clown fish/ cb shrimp dinner.

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them and if they have tank mates in with them.

To be on the safe side I would remove the CBS. The clowns will be fine.

I just got one 3 weeks ago and I hardly ever see him
Usually I only see him scooting around under and between rocks during feeding time. Will he ever come out?

I have two. One that came with a 28G HQI that I have had for about 7 months, the other I bought today to go in my AP 12. You can find them online for about $70 if you know where to look, they usually average 110-130 at places like liveaquaria. I purchased my new one today for only about $30.

Why on earth did you get another one for? I've had mine for at least six months now and I think I've seen him for a total of 3 minutes cumulatively. All I ever see is a fin or tail behind/under rocks and he's in a six gallon nano. I love him but what a waste of money!

Because at $30, why pass? If it was $110-130 like usual, then no, but... I love this fish also, I see my other one sporadically under the edges of the rocks, which is cool. Plus I have also considered doing a study on them if I go to grad school instead of med this fall.
