filter sock

hi
i'm using filter sock on my sump but not on skimmer 's discharge and there is a lot off particles floating around will sock on skimmer help any suggestions will help. Thanks Adam.

Sock on the overflow to sump should trap everything. Sock on skimmer output wont do anything additional for removing particulate matter unless you feed your skimmer direct from overflow. Good for microbubbles though.

sock is in sump and skimmer is fed from sump

Sock gets the water coming from the overflow to the sump, skimmer is fed from pump in sump ... then a sock on the skimmer output doesnt filter particles, only microbubbles. If you dont have a microbubble issue from the skimmer, the sock wont do anything.
