Xtreme 160 evenly distributed bubbles?
Should I have the elbow tube that shoots the bubbles out facing any certain direction? Should there be a concentration of bubbles on one side of the skimmer? I mean, the bubbles are pretty even when they reach about mid level/top, I just don't understand why there is an angled tube instead of a tube that just shoots the bubbles straight up? Massive amounts of bubbles only go thru about 70% of the bubble plate, is that normal?

The skimmer is working fine, I'm just curious if I have it set up totally right.

Anyone? Also, do you have to have the hose connected to the silencer? I've just got mine out of the water, not connected to the silencer. Does it make any difference in performance?
