Sick PBT Please Help!!!!!

I have had this posted in the disease forum
& only got 1 guess. Can anyone tell me what
is causing this?

it looks like his fins are pretty beat up. is something attacking him? if not, it could be fin rot. the body also looks like it has "velvet".
is this a new addition?

No. I've had him for at least 2 years.
He's usually the agressor. I have not
seen any tankmates picking on him.
He is still eating like a pig.

i'm not much help, but what other inhabitants are in the tank? His fins look bad.

Naso tang 6", Purple tang 4", Saifin Tang4"
Clown goby, Neon goby, Blue chromis, Ocelleris clown
2 cleaner shrimp, 2 Peppermint shrimp, Green Sebae Anenome,
Hermits, Snails & several corals(mostly softies). 180 gallons
with sump & fuge. I have started soaking food in garlic,vitamin C
& viat-chem. I feed nori, formula 2, spiralina & mysis.

I had a similar problem with my tang and I used Melafix. It is completely reef safe. I used it for half the time recommended and it worked. I think the recommended dosage was for 6 days and I did it for 3. Then run carbon to get it out. Not supposed to skim while using it.

It looks like a bacterial infection. Are any other fish infected?
Can you quarantine and use antibiotics.

None of the other fish show any signs as of yet. I can QT.
Was hoping for an easier fix although I know better.
