There is often a balance to be struck between pricing and the cost of shipping (including free). Petco and Petsmart carry items, often "on sale" with free shipping on purchases over $50. I have found several sites with great prices that charge very little for shipping - beating out the total at the other places. If you are going for buying "big" or multiple items, several sites have great prices AND ship free over $150-175-200. include petmountain.com among these as well.

Note also, that many sites will price match, but that includes the cost with the competitor's shipping. It often pays to shop around to find who has the best deals. I rarely find one site that has everything I need.

Free Shipping From Any of the sites that say "free Shipping" is a myth, For example Marine Depot Says free shipping over 175.00 But Order 175.00 Worth of Salt Buckets and See how Fast the "Special Handling charge" adds up!UPS Ground: $100.70 (Free Shipping + $0.70 insurance + $100.00 special handling) For Red Sea Coral Pro Salt Mix 175gal - Bucket x5 This is common from most of the free shipping sites, My Honest Advice Watch local Chains Like Petco,Pets mart,Pet supplies plus for sales on dry goods They have the shear buying power and there own trucks to lower shipping costs.
