crabs and snails after cycle
im real close to the end of cycle its about ammonium is about .15ppm, salinity 1.024-1.025(stupid hydrometer) ph is about 8'ish its been cycling for a 9 days now with live sand now i dont have a huge amount of algae at the moment i figure by the end of the week i would like to get a few blue legged hermits, emerald crabs, and maybe some snails or what not im afraid they will starve with the lack of algae could i suppliment them with some flake food or shrimp or something...im kinda afraid if i feed them meaty products they might get the taste for my future livestock.

The hermit crabs and emerald crabs will be happy with some fish food or some dried algae. Some snails will be fine with that, too. What kinds were you considering.

i was thinking of some astrea snails along with some turbo's...maybe some bumblebee ones cause they look cool..haha
i was probably thinking of about 5-10 hermits, 2x emeralds and like 12-15 snails total....how does that sound for a 55gallon clean up crew?

I wouldn't add any hermits or crabs, since they're predatory, as are bumblebee snails. Starting with 12-15 snails sounds fine, though.
