True Percula Differences
Was looking on Drs. Foster and Smith page and under the true percula page there are three different kinds of true Percs....
1. Soloman Island 2. Papua New Guinnea 3. Indo-Pacific My question is what the heck is the difference between them? |

Just the different places they were collected. I'd avoid the Indo-Pacific since I don't like some of the things I've heard about them collecting.

As far as appearance, the Papua New Guinea and Solomon Island perculas tend to get more black coloration. They can possibly end up with "onyx" coloration.
I got a WC pair from the Solomon Islands. The female developed into an onyx, while the male didn't develop black connecting any of the bars. So while it's not a sure thing that one from those locations is going to get more black, there's a higher chance. |

OK, thanks for the updates.....so if I want more orange I should go with the Indo-Pacific (however the collections are questionable). At the LFS they unfortunately dont label them as where they come from.
